[June '23] I started a new position as a Senior Data Scientist at Arkestro.
[October '22] I started a new position as a Senior Data Scientist at Shopify.
[August '22] I submitted and defended my PhD thesis on Dynamic Prescriptive Analytics for Logistics Service Providers.

[July '19] I will spend Summer 2019 as a JSPS research fellow at RIKEN Advanced Intelligence Project (AIP) in Tokyo, Japan.

๐ญ Early in my career I noticed that logistics companies are often not using their data as well as they could do (or lets be frank: not at all). I want to change that!
๐ค This north star has led me onto my journey to become a Data Scientist. I started teaching myself Python and reviewing Statistics, tried to get internships in Data Science (and failed), came to the United States to pursue grad school and slowly got closer to my goal.
๐ช After a long road I can say that now I'm finally here: making real impact by working on how to use data to make supply chains and logistics systems better.
๐ I hold a Machine Learning PhD from Georgia Tech in Atlanta. I also hold a MS in Industrial Engineering and a BS in Logistics. My interest is focused on applications of Data Science and Machine Learning in Logistics aka #datainlogistics.
๐ My work has been recognised by the Material Handling Education Foundation, Jungheinrich Stiftung, Deutsche Bahn StiftungsGmbH, and the DAAD among others. I'm also a Fulbright Alumna, having received a full graduate scholarship for my studies in industrial engineering at Georgia Tech.
๐ท๐ผโโ๏ธ Past work experiences include Audi AG, Beiersdorf AG, Deloite Consulting and other positions with a focus on supply chain management, logistics and material management. My interest in lean management in warehouses brought me to Japan for an intensive training program in summer 2014. I spent summer 2019 as a JSPS research fellow at RIKEN in Tokyo. I have also spent time studying and working in New Zealand, Mexico, and Spain.ย
